As the weather heats up and we're able to spend time at the beach again, this towel could be the best thing you buy all summer.

Hailed as "sand-free" it's made from microfibre which sheds sand immediately, so you're not left with sand in your bag, car, or falling out on the floor when you get home.

The Elite Trend Microfiber Beach Towel is available on Amazon and ranges in price from $33.99 to $71.75.

Microfibre is smoother and thinner than cotton. This means it sheds sand instantly, because the tiny grains have nothing to grip on to. It's also extra absorbent, and dries three times faster than a standard towel - so you don't have to put a heavy, wet towel back in your bag when you've dried off.

The towel has had over 3000 4.5 stars reviews on Amazon, and people can't get enough of its 'miracle' properties. People have called it "perfect for the beach" and said they were "super happy" with their purchase.

The towels come in a choice of 28 colours and are printed on both sides, making them extremely versatile.

They also come in a convenient reusable zip travel bag, which is also ideal for keeping your phone, keys, wallet, and other valuables in when you're at the beach or pool.

Many of the reviews say the towels are also great to take to the gym, camping or on holiday as they're so lightweight and absorbent, and fit easily in a suitcase.

The towels come in a range of sizes, from a standard beach towel size, to an extra large 160cm x 160cm, making it perfect for big families or groups who don't want to take several small towels to the beach.

They're easy to carry too - an extra large towel weighs just 425grams - which is around half what a usual towel would weigh.

The quick dry towel category is becoming such a hit that retailers are using the fabric for other items besides beach towels as well.

The Hair Wrap for Women Towel, $28.99, is made from the same microfibre material, and is designed to wear on your head after a shower or the beach. Because the fabric is so light, it's comfortable to wear, and dries wet hair quickly so it's not dripping when you take it out of the towel.

The Adult Towel Poncho, $59.99, is a wearable towel that's great to get changed under. It dries you in seconds when you're out of the water, so you don't get cold.

Because the fabric is so soft and light to wear, it's really comfy too. It comes in a range of colours, including pink, blue and green.
